Two Scottish care homes are at the centre of allegations of abuse and neglect.

Pentland Hill care home in Edinburgh owned by BUPA, police are investigating the deaths of four residents.
The son of a resident at the home told the Edinburgh Evening News that his mothers treatment at the home was ,, A Disgrace,,

Compassion in Care have discovered this is not the first time the home has been at the centre of such allegations, in 2010 Nurse Carla Nyatsanza was jailed for assaulting an elderly frail resident at the home.

The Second home is the Eastbank care home is Glasgow also owned by BUPA where relatives of 78 Year old Margaret Hall raised concerns about her treatment.
Mrs Halls daughter told The Scottish Daily Record that her mother had died in agony after pain relief medication was not ordered, the family said they had raised a number of concerns since Mrs hall was admitted to the home in 2009. Six months previously Mrs hall  was found sitting in cold bath water by her daughter.

Compassion in Care has discovered the homes previous history,
In 1999 two nurses were accused of leaving residents in urine soaked beds.
In 2003 the home was issued with an improvement notice by The Health and Safety Executive. After staff were found to be putting people at risk from unsafe moving and handling procedures. 
In 2005 the home was slammed by the Care Commission for not giving people enough to eat, carpets being stained with urine and faulty air conditioning resulting in temperatures as high as 30C.
In 2007 the paramedic son of 87 year old Margaret Carroll found his mother had sustained a broken hip and called an ambulance. Mrs Carroll died a few hours later. Doctors blamed the 12 hour Trauma in the home.
